Vascular Treatments

Genetics plays a huge role in how our skin looks and feelings. Things you might not even consider are hereditary – like vascular marks on your skin. Spider veins and broken capillaries are two common complaints we hear from clients. Thankfully, we have options for vascular treatments to help alleviate the frustration of these skin markings.
WHAT ARE THESE PROMINENT VEINS?
Varicose and spider veins are essentially damaged veins. They develop when tiny, one-way valves inside the veins weaken which causes blood to flow backwards and accumulate in the vein. This extra blood puts pressure on the walls of the vein and, with continual pressure, the vein walls weaken and bulge.
TYPES OF VEIN TREATMENTS:
SCLEROTHERAPY: A non-invasive procedure where our Nurse Injector injects a saline or chemical solution into the veins. This causes the vein to collapse and the is eventually broken down and removed by the body. We use this method to effectively treat spider veins and well as larger, distended veins.
LASER THERAPY: Laser Therapy for capillary reduction is a relatively painless treatment that increases the production of collagen, making visible vessels naturally disappear. By using laser energy to target the blood supply within the vessel, we are able to dilate the capillary. The heat from the laser then collapses the capillary wall, causing the vessel to shut down on itself. Afterwards, your body naturally removes the capillary vessel through the llymphatic system.
