GENERAL MANAGER

An Island girl through and through, Erin was born on Vancouver island and even grew up in Campbell River. School brought her to Victoria and Vancouver, but she came back to raise her family and set down roots. While on maternity leave with her twin boys, she met Valine who was building Sage Spa at the time and in need of a manager. History wrote itself as they swiftly became a dynamic duo.

Erin graduated with honours from the University of Victory in 2006 with her Bachelor of Science. She majored in psychology/human sciences and worked extensively in the service industry and has always had a passion for health and wellness.

When not at the spa, Erin enjoys being in nature, gardening, indulging in good food – paired with a great wine, of course – and reading. Above all else, Erin loves spending time with her family and creating memories with her twin boys.

SPA SUPERVISOR

NURSE INJECTOR

Having graduated with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan with a bachelor of science in nursing, Candyce has over ten years of experience in the medical aesthetics field. In 2010, she opened her own medical aesthetics clinic, this combined with her numerous advanced certifications has allowed her to develop a unique skillset our clients will reap the benefits of. For the past eight years, she has been the lead clinical Nurse Educator in Western Canada for a major laser company.

Within Sage Spa, Candyce is our Medical Aesthetics professional and will be creating skin health plans to help clients reach their goals. In addition to offering injectables, she also offers a wide range of skin care services such as Microneedling, PRP, InMode RadioFrequency Facials, Plus90 Women’s Heath treatments, Laser Genesis, PhotoFacials, and Deep Dermal.

When consulting and deciding upon a treatment plan, Candyce takes into consideration each clients’ goals and skin concerns. Her amazing personality and empathetic nature allows her to connect with clients and understand their skin needs and desires, which results in the best possible outcomes.

REGISTERED NURSE

Rebecca is coming to Sage Spa to help with our Medical Aesthetic services like Laser Services, Microneedling, Morpheus8, and Hair Rejuvenation. Rebecca was born in Victoria and raised on Vancouver Island, and is excited to be helping the Campbell River community.

Having worked in ER Edoscopy Public Health Cancer care, she has been in the cancer clinic for thirteen years. While she absolutely loves her job as an Oncology Nurse, she has become fascinated with the newest and most innovative aesthetic treatments and technologies. She is eager to help address her Sage Spa client’s concerns with their skin, specifically anti-aging. Her role as a critical care nurse is expanding as she delves further into her Medical Aesthetic spa training. When not working she can be found with her three beautiful children and one adorable grandbaby.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

We are so grateful to have Dr. Willem Prinsloo overseeing all of our Medical Aesthetic and Injectable services at the spa. He is in the top five ranked GPs in Campbell River and for good reason. Dr. Prinsloo is an incredibly passionate doctor who is dedicated to his practice and clients. His knowledge and kindness are only two of the many traits that set him apart. At Sage Spa, he offers support to our Registered Nurses and is available to assist with consultations when need be. He ensures proper delegation of procedures and monitors and approves neurotoxin and filler amounts.

MEDICAL AESTHETICIAN /
LASER TECHNICIAN

With over 20 years experience, Tara offers a level of knowledge many budding aestheticians covet. She brings to the spa a litany of specialized certifications that all her clients benefit from. Her favourite facial to perform is the DermaGensis which combines the manual exfoliation of Dermaplaning with the rejuvenation of the Laser Genesis. More than anything, Tara loves making her clients feel loved and refreshed.

On her off time, she can be found with her family enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and generating adventure to great memories with.

Caitlin is a seasoned professional in the beauty industry with an amazing 13 years experience as an Aesthetican. She is well versed in all areas, even Laser treatments, but more than anything she loves doing facials. It’s the ability help those with their skincare issues while also providing a totally relaxing experience which has kept her happy in this field for so long. Her passion for skincare means she is always testing new products and services.

When not at the spa, you can find Caitlin travelling, enjoying the great outdoors, or scuba diving.

Lisa is a talented Aesthetician who is actively taking new clients. Having worked in the health and wellness industry since 2001, Lisa has brought with her over 20 years of knowledge and experience. From business management to being a dedicated service provider, Lisa is exactly what our team is all about – drive, dedication, and above all a passion to make her clients happy.

Lisa has a zest for using the latest techniques and technologies and is eager to introduce her clients to them. She is always learning and striving to bring fresh ideas to her clients. More than anything. Lisa has a positive attitude and a desire to connect with everyone she meets which makes her a client care guru. Her goal is to make everyone comfortable with their service and experience at Sage Spa.

A true West Coast girl, Lisa was born and raised in Campbell River. When she’s not in the spa providing treatments to clients, you can find her spending time wth her family, renovating her home, travelling and exploring, taking road trips, hiking, or camping. Her life revolves around her family, dog Bentley, and wonderful friends.

With over eight years of experience coming with her, Jaime found her passion for Medical Aesthetics in 2015 when she graduated from Aesthetics School.

She was fortunate to be able to attend and complete Aesthetic Laser Training in Toronto and is certified by the Aesthetic Medicine Training Academy. She is currently certified and trained on 8 different laser/IPL modalities and is an expert in Microneedling, as well as RF Microneedling, HydraFacials, Dermaplaning, and
Body Contouring.

She takes her profession very seriously and is dedicated to helping her clients achieve the
best results possible by educating them with proper skincare and which treatments are ideal for their skin types and concerns.

Her attention to detail and knowledge of the latest technology allows her to perform customized treatments to best fit all her clients’ needs. By creating loyal relationships, Jaime is able to better assist her clients with looking and feeling confident and beautiful.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family, friends and her dog Jemma. She loves exploring our beautiful island, and everything it has to offer.

Faye is a dedicated Aesthetician and has been one for the last twenty years. Do not let her youthful appearance fool you, she is a seasoned professional with a passion for helping clients relax and rejuvenate.

Trained in HydraFacials, Microneedling, Dermaplaning, and Custom Facials, she has the skills and determination to help you reach your skincare goals. She also has extensive experience with manicures, pedicures, Lash Lifts, waxing and massages.

The best part for Faye is the one-on-one client interaction she has with everyone who books with her and loves getting to know people.

When not in the spa, you can find Faye enjoying life on the island shopping, cooking, paddle boarding, kayaking, and sipping wine. All activities are made better by spending time with her husband and beautiful girls.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Having graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy 3-year program, Max’s work experience includes extensive clinical training for patients with a variety of conditions including: spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, pregnancy as well as postural and sports related injuries.

He utilizes many treatment techniques including: myofascial release, joint mobilization, neuromuscular therapy, trigger point release, and muscle energy techniques. Max strives to assist his patients’ goals by providing specific recovery techniques as well as working alongside them to ensure their full recovery.

REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPIST

Olena is a passionate massage therapy profession with an open mind towards patients’ needs. She studied and graduated with honours from the 3000 hour program at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.

Within her practice, she enjoys using various techniques, including Hydrotherapy (Hot/Cold Stones), trigger point releasing, myofascial release, Swedish massage, Muscle Energy Technique, Craniosacral therapy (CST) and joint mobilizations to help her patients increase their range in motion and decrease chronic pain.

Olena enjoys working with a wide variety of conditions and people of all ages, be educating her clients about their bodies and helping them improve the underlying causes of postural imbalance and returning the body to its normal state.

REGISTERED ACUPUNCTURIST

Steven first studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Canadian College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Victoria, then moved to Pacific Rim College.  He has various certifications in a wide array of massage techniques from Relaxation to Deep Tissue, as well as Thai Massage,Traditional Chinese Cupping and Tuina Massage.

His passion is healing people from many walks of life with varying illnesses and concerns. In addition to Massage and Acupuncture, Steven also integrates meditation, breathing and yogic techniques to help his patients. By connecting with his clients and sharing his knowledge, Steven builds relationships through healing.

PERMANENT COSMETICS

Cathy’s journey into Permanent Cosmetics came from her background in art.

She had the pleasure of doing a full year apprenticeship with one of Canada’s best Permanent Makeup Artists out of Nanaimo, Sandra Danchuk. With her love for helping people and artistry skills, this career simply made sense for her.

Cathy is always trying to learn new techniques and strives to keep helping women with their need for Permanent Makeup.
